Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer specializing in Infrastructure to lead planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and time analysis on a major infrastructure operations and maintenance project in Abu Dhabi. This role demands oversight of program delivery and transparent reporting across multiple project interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate contractor baseline and updated schedules, ensuring alignment with contract terms and company standards.
• Assess resource allocation and scheduling viability to guarantee timely project completion.
• Construct and upkeep integrated master schedules spanning various project packages and their interfaces.
• Analyze progress data to detect delays or critical issues, and propose recovery or mitigation strategies.
• Conduct scenario and schedule impact analysis for project changes and potential events.
• Generate consistent progress reports, monthly program reviews, and presentations focusing on milestone achievements.
• Support claim and extension of time evaluations via delay analysis techniques like time impact and window analyses.
• Lead or participate in planning and progress meetings, document discussions through minutes, and maintain comprehensive records and trackers.
• Establish progress measurement systems and key performance indicators with contractors and consultants for monitoring purposes.
• Issue delay or slow-performance notices when necessary and assist in formulating responses leveraging program data and contractual clauses.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling infrastructure projects, specifically in stormwater, roads, sewerage, and utility sectors.
• Possession of a UAE equivalency certificate is compulsory.
• Strong communication and report-writing capabilities.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Thorough knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proven coordination skills and ability to exercise sound judgment in dynamic project settings.
• Holding a DMT practicing engineer license is an advantage.
