Job Purpose and Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed schedules for offshore Oil & Gas projects focusing on process platforms.
- Track project progress, spot discrepancies from baseline schedules, and suggest and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate closely with teams in engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning to ensure project milestones are met consistently.
- Conduct schedule risk analyses and maintain updated risk registers to mitigate potential issues.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports for project stakeholders.
- Assist in managing contract changes, preparing claims, and analyzing delays to support project control functions.
- Contribute to project closure activities, share lessons learned, and provide feedback to improve future projects.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Senior Planning Engineers and Planning Engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or related discipline.
- Have between 7 to 10 years of extensive experience managing planning activities for offshore Oil & Gas projects, particularly involving process platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience overseeing planning teams.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is considered advantageous.
Work Conditions and Benefits
- This is a permanent, project-based role located at the office in Doha, Qatar.
- Standard working schedule consists of 45 hours per week, typically 9 hours per day over 5 days.
