About VIDA Roads

VIDA Roads is engaged in delivering a significant investment into Victoria's road infrastructure. The organization is managing numerous major road initiatives across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, improving critical daily routes. Projects include the North East Link which involves constructing 6.5 km of tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen, enhancements to the Eastern Freeway, and completion of the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough, alongside various new roads, bridges, widenings, and freeway upgrades.

Role Summary

As a Planner and Scheduler within VIDA Roads, you will contribute to developing and overseeing project schedules across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring targets are attainable and monitored effectively. The position maintains communication with stakeholders regarding scheduling issues and performance, recommending enhancements and mitigation measures as needed. You will support senior management with schedule monitoring plus earned value and commodity histogram reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring realistical completion goals and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Provide advice to local stakeholders and management on schedule-related issues, proposing strategies to enhance schedule robustness and deliverability.
• Assist in detailed program reviews, analyzing cost and schedule performance and aligning cost allocations with work breakdown structures.
• Help formulate mitigation plans to address variances and return activities to desired performance standards.
• Contribute to evaluations during contract program reviews with recommendations based on critical path analyses and summary graphics.
• Manage schedule completeness and clarity in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, report delays and issues, and suggest mitigation strategies.

Employment Details

This is a fixed-term contract role lasting up to three years based at the Geelong office. VIDA Roads offers a hybrid working environment. The position is classified as VPS6 with a salary range from $142,790 to $191,084 annually, plus superannuation and benefits.
