Job Overview
The Planner plays a crucial role in developing schedules, monitoring progress, and generating reports for specific disciplines within the scope of work managed by Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. This position ensures schedules remain accurate and are updated punctually.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and validate progress information from site supervisors and foremen.
- Update discipline-specific schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project software.
- Create daily and weekly progress reports alongside productivity monitoring documents.
- Assist in creating look-ahead schedules to support site activities.
- Help measure project progress and track quantities relative to the baseline schedule.
- Identify schedule variances and report these findings to the Lead Planner.
- Contribute to the development of progress visualization tools such as curves and histograms.
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors to confirm reported progress data.
- Maintain thorough planning documentation and records.
- Support the creation of manpower and equipment histograms for designated areas.
- Assist in compiling data inputs for client-related progress reporting.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years’ experience in planning or scheduling within construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering or an allied discipline.
- Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Project software for project scheduling.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and time management abilities.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules.
- Skilled in progress measurement methods and data reporting.
