Job Overview
The Cost Controller will manage and oversee the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of project expenses relative to approved budgets. This role is vital for ensuring accurate forecasting and effective cost regulation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cost control systems and detailed cost breakdowns for projects.
- Monitor committed, actual, and forecasted expenses against budgets.
- Generate scheduled cost reports and perform variance analysis for management review.
- Assist in developing project cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with procurement and on-site teams to confirm the accuracy of cost information.
- Track change orders and variations, assessing their financial impact.
- Support earned value management calculations and related reporting.
- Maintain appropriate cost coding and allocation in line with the project's work breakdown structure.
- Facilitate preparation of monthly cost reports for clients and management.
- Identify potential cost risks and trends, and promptly escalate to the Project Control Manager.
- Aid in cost reconciliation and final account preparation during project close-out phases.
Experience and Education
- More than 5 years of professional experience in project cost control within EPC or construction environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in cost control and budgeting methodologies.
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) principles.
- Familiarity with cost coding and work breakdown structures.
- Skilled in project reporting systems and advanced MS Excel modeling.
