Job description
Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of a Picker is to quickly and accurately select products from store racks based on online customer orders received through an app. The selected items are then prepared for packing and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Picking: Use handheld devices (smartphone/scanner) to view customer order lists.
- Identify and extract the correct items from store racks as per the order list.
- Verify quantity, expiry dates, and product quality.
- Perform tasks efficiently to ensure delivery within 10 minutes.
- Scanning and Processing: Scan picked items and complete order processing.
- Packing: Securely pack selected products for delivery. Often, the role combines picking and packing duties.
- Stock Assistance: Help place new inventory correctly in the store and assist in stock counting activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse or store workspace.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Qualification: Generally, completion of 10th or 12th grade.
- Experience: Freshers or candidates with up to 6 months to 1 year of experience may apply.
- Required Documents: Aadhar card, PAN card, bank account details, two-wheeler driving license and bike (mandatory at certain locations for delivery).
- Familiarity with order picking and order processing.
- Competent in using smartphones and scanning applications.
- Ability to work accurately and swiftly.
- Physically fit to stand and move around during work.
Salary and Benefits:
- Monthly income generally ranges between ₹16,000 and ₹23,000, varying based on location, experience, and company policy.
- Compensation includes fixed salary plus incentives based on the quantity of items picked.
- Work hours can be full-time (8 hours) or part-time (4 to 6 hours).
- Shifts might include both day and night rotations.
- Additional perks at some warehouses include provident fund (PF), medical insurance, subsidized meals, and bus facilities (especially in Greater Noida).
