Role Overview
The Physical Security Enablement IV position is responsible for the upkeep, operation, and enhancement of physical security systems in mission-critical data center settings. The role demands strong technical expertise paired with sound judgment to support security infrastructure, respond to incidents, comply with audits, and execute operational projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate security hardware installations, removals, and client-specific security setups.
- Handle unique client security demands, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Monitor customer security service tickets and aid in reporting and audit processes.
- Support senior colleagues in crafting and distributing Requests for Proposals concerning security infrastructure initiatives.
- Manage auxiliary security hardware and troubleshooting to reduce operational interruptions.
- Engage in maintenance and problem-solving for security-related equipment as needed.
- Respond promptly to security incidents such as system failures or access control challenges, participating in investigations and root cause analyses.
- Assist with incident declarations in collaboration with the Operations Center and contribute to incident reporting documentation.
- Implement corrective measures based on incident reviews to enhance operational processes.
- Oversee physical security system functionality, including Access Control and Video Management Systems, performing fault investigations and repairs per site standards.
- Support routine maintenance programs, system updates, and lifecycle management activities.
- Participate in customer engagement activities including security audits and cage build processes.
- Maintain security asset inventories and manage network addressing for security devices.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with site operational and safety standards during deployment and maintenance activities.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by coordinating with site management and auditors.
- Keep detailed documentation, drawings, and records current for all security systems and vendor operations.
- Contribute to operational excellence by identifying areas for procedural and infrastructure improvement.
- Work alongside operational teams and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects and security upgrades, ensuring minimal impact on facility operations and customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum education includes a high school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in relevant fields.
- Candidate should have between 2 to 4 years of experience related to physical security, data center operations, critical infrastructure, or similar technical environments.
