Job Overview

The Photo Specialist role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service at the photo counter by offering expert photo-related services, including digital passport photos and support for various transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. This position manages the photo department's inventory, maintains orderliness, and ensures all supplies and products meet customer demand efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage customers warmly at the photo counter, proactively assess their needs, and provide personalized photo products and services while addressing concerns to guarantee satisfaction.
• Exemplify outstanding customer service behaviors to create a welcoming and helpful environment, including proper greetings, eye contact, and courteous conduct.
• Perform accurate and efficient service delivery for photo department duties, including digital passport photo processing and promotion of related products and services.
• Recommend additional products or upgrades to fulfill customer needs and boost sales opportunities.
• Handle customer transactions such as purchases, returns, refunds, exchanges, and rain checks with precision while adhering to cash handling protocols.
• Oversee inventory control, maintain organization, and ensure readiness of photo department supplies and raw materials aligned with forecasted customer demand over a three-week period.
• Process and fulfill photo and online orders accurately and promptly to create a smooth customer experience.
• Provide customer support for auxiliary services including FedEx and Western Union, ensuring full compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain photo equipment and troubleshoot operational issues using store systems and technology to ensure quality outputs.
• Keep the photo department clean, organized, safe, and well-merchandised; contribute to the overall store appearance and standards.
• Assist in merchandising activities such as display maintenance, promotional setups, inventory management, and seasonal resets.
• Support training and cross-functional development for store team members to maintain consistent photo department operations during absences.
• Follow company policies, asset protection guidelines, and legal regulations to ensure a secure and compliant working environment.
• Collaborate respectfully with team members and undertake additional tasks to meet business goals.
• Complete required training and e-learning assignments as directed by management or corporate.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking (except in Puerto Rico).
• Flexible availability including willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of retail experience is favored.
• Previous employment with Walgreens is preferred.
