Job Overview

The Photo Specialist is dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience through expert photo services, including digital passport photos, along with support for transactions involving FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillments. This role involves owning inventory management and operational readiness within the photo department, ensuring supplies and products meet customer demands efficiently. The specialist also promotes photo-related products and delivers accurate checkout and merchandising support while collaborating with team members to uphold a customer-centric environment and meet business targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers and patients at the photo counter, offering personalized assistance by identifying and addressing individual needs.
• Take ownership of customer concerns by providing timely resolutions and clear answers to maintain a smooth and satisfying interaction.
• Model and encourage customer-focused behaviors among team members, including professional interpersonal skills like eye contact and courtesy, to consistently deliver a distinctive service experience.
• Perform efficient, friendly, and accurate services within the photo department, including offering digital passport photo services and promoting relevant photo products.
• Suggest additional products, upgrades, and complementary items to customers to drive sales opportunities.
• Handle customer transactions precisely, dealing with purchases, returns, refunds, exchanges, and rain checks, while following cash handling protocols.
• Manage inventory and supplies by monitoring stock, keeping records, and maintaining availability aligned with forecasted demand over a three-week cycle.
• Process and fulfill photo orders, including online and web-based pickups, accurately and promptly.
• Provide customer support for services such as FedEx and Western Union, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain photo equipment, use store technology to support operations, and resolve any technical issues to deliver quality outcomes.
• Keep the photo department clean, organized, safe, well-merchandised, and contribute to the overall store's appearance and standards.
• Support merchandising efforts through display maintenance, promotional setups, inventory tasks, and departmental resets.
• Assist in cross-training colleagues on photo department operations to ensure consistent coverage during absences.
• Follow company policies, asset protection standards, and compliance requirements to ensure a secure and lawful work environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members and complete additional tasks as necessary to meet business goals.

Training and Development

• Participate in training sessions and complete company-assigned e-learning modules as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Experience

• At least six months of retail work experience is preferred.
• Previous experience working at Walgreens is advantageous.
