Photo Specialist

Job Overview

As a Photo Specialist, you will create a unique and enjoyable customer experience by delivering expert photo services, including digital passport photos, and facilitating customer service transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and order fulfillment. You will manage the photo department's inventory and operations, ensuring supplies and products are available and organized to meet customer demands. Additionally, you will promote photo-related products and services, assist with checkout processes, ensure accurate transactions, and maintain a clean and safe environment aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage warmly with customers at the photo counter by greeting them, offering tailored assistance, and identifying their photo and service needs.
• Address customer questions and concerns promptly to provide a smooth and satisfying experience.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service behaviors, including consistent greetings, eye contact, and courteous interactions, while encouraging these practices among team members.
• Provide efficient, friendly, and accurate photo department services, including digital passport photos.
• Suggest relevant products, service upgrades, and complementary items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Handle customer transactions such as purchases, returns, exchanges, refunds, and rain checks accurately and according to cash handling protocols.
• Maintain ownership of inventory management and operational readiness by monitoring stock, organizing supplies, and aligning inventory levels with forecasted three-week customer demand.
• Process and fulfill photo and online orders promptly and accurately to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Offer customer support for additional services like FedEx and Western Union, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot photo equipment and utilize store systems to uphold operational efficiency and quality.
• Keep the photo department clean, well-organized, safe, and visually appealing, contributing to overall store standards.
• Assist with merchandising tasks such as maintaining displays, seasonal setups, inventory activities, resets, and revisions in photo and adjacent departments.
• Support cross-training efforts to enable team members to provide photo services when needed, ensuring operational continuity during absences.
• Follow company asset protection policies and maintain a secure working environment.
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers and complete additional tasks as assigned to support the business.
• Participate in training sessions and complete assigned e-learning modules as directed.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required except in Puerto Rico.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Experience

• At least six months of experience in a retail setting is preferred.
• Previous employment with Walgreens is a plus.

Salary Range

The hourly pay ranges from $17 to $19.
