Photo Specialist

Overview

As a Photo Specialist at Walgreens in Watertown, NY, you will create an exceptional customer experience by delivering expert photo services, including digital passport photos, while assisting with additional customer service transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. You will be responsible for managing the photo department's stock, organization, and smooth functioning to ensure product and service availability that meets customer needs.

Key Duties

• Welcoming customers warmly and proactively assisting them at the photo counter to identify and fulfill their photography and related service needs.
• Delivering courteous and efficient service, including taking digital passport photos and promoting photo products and services.
• Recommending relevant photo products, upgrades, and additional items to increase sales opportunities.
• Accurately conducting customer financial transactions such as sales, returns, refunds, exchanges, and rain checks while adhering to company cash handling policy.
• Monitoring and maintaining the photo department’s inventory, supplies, and operational readiness aligned with projected customer demand over three weeks.
• Processing photo, online, and web pickup orders timely and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Providing assistance for auxiliary services like FedEx and Western Union, adhering strictly to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Maintaining photo-related equipment and utilizing store technology to aid daily operations and resolve technical issues.
• Keeping the photo department neat, safe, and well-merchandised while contributing to the overall store environment and operational standards.
• Supporting merchandising efforts for photo and adjacent departments, including inventory tasks, promotional setups, resets, and seasonal displays.
• Cross-training and mentoring team members on photo department functions to ensure operational continuity when you are not present.
• Complying with company policies, regulatory standards, and asset protection requirements to maintain a secure working environment.
• Collaborating professionally with colleagues and fulfilling additional assignments as required to meet business goals.
• Participating in required training and completing assigned e-learning modules as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and spoken English (excludes Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: at least six months of retail work experience.
• Preferred: prior experience working at Walgreens.
