Job Overview

As a Photo Specialist at Walgreens located in Topeka, KS, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service through expert photo solutions, including digital passport photos and assistance with services such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. Your responsibilities include managing the photo department's inventory and supplies to ensure product availability, promoting photo products and services, handling transactions efficiently, supporting merchandising efforts, and maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, proactive, and personalized customer service at the photo counter, addressing questions and resolving concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate customer-focused behaviors consistently, including friendly greetings and attentive assistance, setting a positive example for the team.
• Offer courteous, accurate, and efficient photo services and promote relevant products and upgrades to enhance sales.
• Handle customer transactions including purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges while following cash handling protocols.
• Manage photo department inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records to meet forecasted demand for at least three weeks.
• Process and fulfill photo and online orders accurately and promptly to provide seamless customer experiences.
• Assist customers with additional services like FedEx and Western Union, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Maintain photo equipment and utilize technological systems for troubleshooting and operational support.
• Keep the photo area clean, organized, and well-merchandised, contributing to overall store appearance and standards.
• Support merchandising activities, including display maintenance, promotional setups, inventory tasks, resets, and revisions.
• Assist in training and cross-training other store team members in photo department tasks to ensure consistent operational coverage.
• Comply with company policies, asset protection guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure and compliant workspace.
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers and fulfill additional tasks as required to support business goals.
• Participate in required training sessions and complete assigned e-learning modules for continuous development.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Flexibility to work variable schedules including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred candidates will have at least six months of retail experience and prior experience working with Walgreens is advantageous.
