Job description
Overview
The Photo Specialist is responsible for creating a remarkable and enjoyable experience for customers by delivering expert photo services including digital passport photos, assisting with FedEx, Western Union services, and managing online order fulfillment. This role entails overseeing the photo department's inventory, organization, and operational readiness by maintaining supplies, tracking stock levels, and ensuring product availability to satisfy customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly at the photo counter, proactively offer assistance, and identify their needs to provide tailored photo products and services.
- Address customer concerns promptly ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience, and model excellent customer service behaviors.
- Provide courteous and efficient photo services including digital passport photos and promote relevant photo-related products.
- Recommend additional products and services to meet customer needs and enhance sales opportunities.
- Process transactions accurately including sales, returns, refunds, and exchanges, while complying with cash handling procedures.
- Manage photo department inventory and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels in line with projected demand.
- Handle and fulfill photo orders as well as online and in-store pickups with accuracy and timeliness.
- Deliver customer support for auxiliary services such as FedEx and Western Union in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot photo equipment, utilizing store systems to support daily operations and ensure quality.
- Keep the photo area clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing, supporting merchandising efforts and seasonal displays.
- Assist cross-training efforts by helping other staff learn photo department operations to maintain coverage when needed.
- Adhere to company policies, asset protection standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist with additional assignments to fulfill business goals.
- Participate in training sessions and complete assigned e-learning modules for personal and professional growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Six months preferred experience in a retail environment.
- Prior work experience at Walgreens is preferred.
