Role Overview

Based at NZMA's Sylvia Park campus in Auckland, this full-time, permanent role involves delivering the Pharmacy Technician program. The tutor will leverage their extensive pharmacy knowledge, especially in community pharmacy settings, to educate students on skills required for the profession, including anatomy, physiology, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, dispensing techniques (such as calculations, compliance packaging, and compounding), pharmacy legislation, and professional standards.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

Applicants must be either a Registered Pharmacist in New Zealand or experienced Pharmacy Technicians holding the New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Level 5 or Diploma in Pharmacy Technician (Specialist) Level 6. Although prior teaching experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training and teaching resources will be provided. Candidates should have a solid professional background within the New Zealand pharmacy industry and demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, enthusiasm for education, and the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse student groups while maintaining a positive attitude.
