Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic, compassionate, and patient-focused care aimed at excellence in clinical services including disease state management, medication reviews, adherence, health risk assessments, and administration of injections/vaccines.
• Offer patient education and counseling on new therapies tailored to individual patient needs considering factors like literacy, hearing impairment, and privacy.
• Develop, initiate, and monitor care plans along with maintaining accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with peers by participating in professional programs to enhance health and wellness services.
• Engage actively with Fusion programs to ensure uniform and seamless pharmacy service across locations.
• Safeguard prescription accuracy by prioritizing technical roles and delegating appropriately to Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants.
• Remain knowledgeable about all corporate pharmacy services and programs to recommend the most suitable options for patients.
• Stay updated with pharmacy regulations, industry trends, and attend required training sessions.
• Comply with all regulatory standards, company policies, and procedures including Occupational Health and Safety, Loss Prevention, and Continuous Quality Improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active pharmacist license in good standing relevant to the province of practice.
• Certified in administration of injections and First Aid.
• Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset.
