Pharmacist - Full Time, Hourly, Day Shift

Role Overview

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Windsor, Ontario, where your primary mission will be managing pharmacy operations during your shift, delivering healthcare, beauty, and convenience services, and prioritizing excellent customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers approaching the pharmacy promptly and professionally.
• Comply fully with all applicable federal, provincial, regulatory, and legal pharmacy requirements.
• Protect customer privacy and confidentiality, ensuring proper consent management.
• Offer counseling on prescriptions as well as over-the-counter and behind-the-counter products.
• Utilize your professional scope to provide expanded pharmacy services within your competency.
• Be clearly identifiable to the public as a pharmacy professional during working hours.
• Verify the accuracy and suitability of all prescriptions dispensed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the care circle to enhance customer health outcomes.
• Maintain thorough records conforming to relevant legislation, practice standards, and policies.
• Control dispensary access to secure inventory and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Manage daily workflow queues and regularly review ‘will call’ bins per established procedures.
• Conduct periodic checks for expired inventory and monitor stock levels, coordinating medication orders from wholesalers.
• Adhere strictly to documentation and regulatory requirements regarding controlled substances, including reporting to Health Canada and other authorities.
• Ensure pharmacy areas such as entry points, counseling rooms, and workstations present a professional and welcoming image.
• Participate in financial reporting activities as needed.
• Review and act upon store communications efficiently via the in-store web system.
• Report any incidents involving medication or privacy concerns for customers or staff promptly.

Compensation
