About the Role

Pharmasave Main & 30th is seeking a dedicated full-time Pharmacist to join their collaborative team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a community pharmacy setting with flexible scheduling and favorable working hours. The pharmacy maintains a nearly equal ratio of Pharmacists to Pharmacy Assistants, allowing the successful candidate to dedicate significant time to patient counseling and clinical service provision.

Working Hours

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Responsibilities and Clinical Duties

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care with a focus on patient well-being
• Engage in counseling patients and offering clinical services within the full scope of pharmacy practice
• Prescribe treatments for minor ailments as authorized
• Accurately manage medication administration, including injections
• Ensure compliance with evolving pharmacy regulations and policies

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of an active BC Pharmacist License in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
• Certification to administer medications via injection
• Authorization to prescribe for minor ailments
• Proven knowledge of current pharmacy practices and regulatory changes
• Ability to simplify complex medical information for patient understanding
• Experience with Kroll pharmacy management software
• Background in community pharmacy work
• Strong customer service skills and commitment to patient care standards
• Excellent computer literacy, organizational abilities, and keen attention to detail
• Understanding of appropriate billing practices and audit risk mitigation
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
• Capacity to prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and collaborate within a team environment
