As a Pest Control Technician, your key role will be performing premier pest management services primarily for residential properties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspections of residential properties to detect pest infestations, damage, and access points.
• Apply pest control treatments including chemicals, baits, and traps, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols.
• Advise clients on effective pest prevention strategies to minimize future infestations.
• Develop client relationships through scheduling and confirming appointments, supporting sales to existing clients, and introducing pest control solutions to new customers.
• Maintain pest control equipment by ensuring proper stocking, maintenance, and functionality.
• Comply fully with federal, state, and local pest control and safety regulations.
• Operate company-provided service vehicle responsibly; company manages regular maintenance.

Essential Functions and Work Environment

• Work frequently in confined spaces such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces.
• Interaction with animals, insects, and termites is routine.
• Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical components, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals with training provided for safe procedures.
• Work outdoors and indoors in varying local weather conditions, wearing company-issued weather gear.
• Engage in physical activities like sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and navigating stairs, ladders, scaffolds, ramps, and poles.
• Use personal protective equipment, including OSHA-compliant respirators, adhering to safety standards.

Job Requirements

• Clean-shaven face mandatory for respirator safety compliance.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience combination required.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is essential.
• Obtain necessary licenses or certificates as mandated by regulations; employer provides coverage.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday with weekends as needed.
• Eager to learn and gain comprehensive knowledge of pest control practices.
• Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math capabilities to follow product mixing instructions.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Wage: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
The starting wage within this range depends on factors such as location, skill set, education, and prior experience. Additional earnings potential includes overtime, incentives, commissions, performance bonuses, and assigned routes.
