Overview

The People Solutions Generalist I plays a crucial role in evaluating, analyzing, and administering HR programs. Acting as a strategic partner, this position collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure HR initiatives align closely with overall business objectives, fostering a culture where employees can excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted human resources advisor to managers and leaders, guiding workforce planning, team effectiveness, and talent strategies within a high-volume contact center.
  • Address people-related challenges such as attendance, employee engagement, turnover, and performance management to build a productive workforce.
  • Lead talent management processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, retention efforts, and facilitating internal mobility.
  • Assist in succession planning and support initiatives that enhance employee growth and bench strength.
  • Coach managers on effective people management techniques, emphasizing feedback, performance discussions, and team development.
  • Provide support on workplace concerns, team issues, and communication challenges to boost leadership capability and accountability.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment aligned with company values, focusing on belonging, morale, and employee connection.
  • Develop and implement engagement programs tailored for the Ghanaian workforce while addressing employee feedback to improve retention and workplace culture.
  • Serve as a confidential and empathetic point of contact for employee concerns, fostering trust, fairness, and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Support employee relations by offering guidance on performance, conduct, conflict, and policy interpretation, ensuring consistent and compliant HR practices.
  • Champion performance management via goal setting, feedback systems, reviews, and growth planning to encourage continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Utilize data analytics to interpret HR metrics such as attrition, absenteeism, hiring trends, and engagement to inform leadership decisions and improve business outcomes.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with labor laws and company standards, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Lead and assist with people programs and change management initiatives, including talent reviews, workforce planning, learning, and organizational change communications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Between 2 and 4 years of relevant human resources experience, ideally within fast-paced or large-volume operational environments.
  • University degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience with Workday HR systems is a plus, combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of labor relations, employee relations, and understanding of HR lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with HR data, reporting, confidential documentation, and policy enforcement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the capacity to multitask and work effectively under pressure while building trust with both leaders and staff.
