Overview
The People Operations team in Ireland is currently seeking a skilled payroll expert for an approximately 14-month tenure. This position involves overseeing payroll management and specialized benefits administration for employees located in Ireland, impacting employee experience significantly through strong administrative capabilities, excellent customer service, and meticulous attention to detail. The role also demands advanced stakeholder engagement and project management skills to guarantee comprehensive and accurate completion of payroll and benefits processes.
The position primarily supports Field Leaders (FL) and Professional staff across business units such as PGCS, R&D, and IB & R&D specific to Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete administration of specialized compensation and employee benefit programs including pensions, retirement planning, employee share purchase schemes, RSU, and stock option plans.
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery encompassing execution, employee communications, reporting, payroll processing, vendor dealings, and supporting stakeholders.
- Serve as the central liaison for employees, HR Business Partners, and third-party providers to ensure seamless benefit program delivery and exceptional employee service.
- Prepare, verify, and execute multiple payroll cycles such as weekly, monthly, pensions, and expatriate payrolls while maintaining solid connections with payroll providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Engage with internal and external payroll stakeholders to deliver effective service and resolve payroll inquiries promptly within service standards.
- Produce ad hoc business and leadership reports through detailed analysis and data examination.
- Complete all mandatory statutory reports, including submissions to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), and manage compliance with internal audits and legislative regulations.
- Maintain precise and confidential records adhering to data integrity standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements by streamlining and automating aspects of payroll and benefits to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational workflows and elevating the employee experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a third-level degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; certification such as IPASS is desirable.
- Between 5 and 7 years of experience handling complex compensation and benefits, managing multiple payroll runs.
- Strong analytical acumen involving reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and driving enhancements in processes.
- Excellent customer service orientation with robust interpersonal skills for effective collaborations with employees, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities is critical.
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Experience within multinational companies or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
- Prior use of HRIS platforms, ideally MyHR, and familiarity with Time & Attendance (Workforce Management) systems would be beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with pension schemes and employee share purchase plan administration is preferred.
