About the Role

Join a dynamic team based in Dubai as a Payroll Manager responsible for overseeing the full payroll process within the organization. This role involves managing salary calculations, allowances, deductions, bonuses, leaves, and ensuring compliance with UAE payroll regulations and company policies, including the WPS system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire monthly payroll process encompassing salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and leave adjustments.
  • Verify payroll inputs and maintain accurate and updated employee records.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, banking partners, external payroll vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Ensure payroll processing complies fully with UAE statutory requirements, company policies, and WPS procedures.
  • Reconcile payroll information with accounting data and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Prepare summaries, management reports, payment schedules, and necessary documentation related to payroll.
  • Safeguard confidentiality of payroll records and handle all sensitive employee information securely.
  • Address and resolve employee queries about payroll calculations and payments promptly.
  • Support payroll audits by providing required reports and documentation both internally and externally.
  • Continuously review payroll controls to enhance accuracy, operational efficiency, and automation opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor payroll team members to uphold high-quality payroll operations standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area.
  • Minimum of six years in payroll, including managerial or supervisory roles.
  • In-depth understanding of UAE payroll laws and Wage Protection System (WPS) procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll software, ERP platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll calculations, reconciliation procedures, statutory deductions, employee benefits, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High integrity with strict confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven leadership abilities in a team environment.
  • Experience in UAE or GCC payroll environments preferred.
  • Professional certifications in payroll, HR, accounting, or finance are advantageous.
