Key Responsibilities

• Provide quick, courteous, and professional greetings to all customers entering and leaving the store to ensure they have a positive initial and final impression.
• Support store safety and loss prevention by tagging returned items, monitoring large transactions such as electronics purchases, verifying receipts when necessary, and alerting management or security to any suspicious behaviors or Code ADAM incidents.
• Respond calmly and professionally to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms, determine if items failed to deactivate properly, log all incidents accurately, and notify management of any system malfunctions.
• Assist customers by supplying shopping essentials like carts and flyers, give directions, answer inquiries, and collaborate with sales staff to locate products and services.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free store environment by strictly following company policies and procedures.
• Display flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs and ensure consistent customer service quality.

Potential Challenges

• Efficiently manage high workloads in a fast-moving environment, especially overnight shifts, to stay focused and energized.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with accuracy and attention to detail to uphold store standards.
• Meet physical demands including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 to 50 pounds.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $18.40 per hour.
