About the Role
RSIS International is seeking a meticulous Peer Review Coordinator to facilitate the peer-review process for manuscripts submitted to academic journals. The primary focus is on identifying and coordinating qualified peer reviewers with suitable research backgrounds for submitted papers.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and select appropriate peer reviewers using platforms such as Google Scholar, academic databases, and university web pages.
- Assess potential reviewers by examining their publications, research interests, academic affiliations, and expertise.
- Align reviewer expertise with specific manuscript topics to ensure relevance.
- Maintain and update comprehensive records and databases of reviewers.
- Verify credentials and institutional affiliations of reviewers.
- Collaborate closely with the editorial staff to arrange reviewer assignments and timelines.
- Initiate and follow up communications with reviewers concerning their availability and review assignments.
- Monitor reviewer responses, acceptance, and the completion of review tasks.
- Keep detailed documentation of all correspondence and reviewer engagements.
- Uphold confidentiality standards regarding manuscripts and reviewer information throughout the process.
- Assist editorial teams to ensure a seamless and timely peer-review workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Between 1 and 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in academic or journal publishing sectors.
- Solid understanding of academic subjects and research papers.
- Expertise in online research and information retrieval.
- Capability to locate researchers based on publication records and subject matter expertise.
- Familiarity with Google Scholar and researcher profile platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competence in MS Word, MS Excel, email, and various web-based tools.
- Ability to handle multiple manuscript reviews and reviewer assignments concurrently.
Preferred Background and Role Scope
The role primarily involves identifying, selecting, coordinating, communicating with, and tracking peer reviewers. Candidates experienced in academic publishing, editorial coordination, peer-review management, or research publication will have a favorable advantage.
Additional Information
The position is based onsite at RSIS International, Tower B, Suncity Success Tower, Golf Course Ext. Rd., Sector 65, Gurugram, Haryana - 122005. Salary ranges from ₹3,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience, industry knowledge, and suitability to the role.
