Payroll Specialist (m/w/d)

Role Overview

As a Payroll Specialist (m/w/d), you will play a vital role in enhancing and expanding our payroll operations within Germany. Currently, payroll functions are managed via an external service provider. Collaborating closely with HR and Finance teams, you will ensure accurate payroll processing and prepare the transition towards establishing an internal payroll department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of monthly payroll and, over time, take full ownership of internal payroll processing.
• Coordinate the collaboration with the external payroll service provider and manage the transition to an entirely in-house payroll system.
• Lead the implementation, setup, and ongoing enhancement of our new HR and payroll system.
• Serve as the point of contact for employees, supervisors, government authorities, and health insurance providers regarding payroll, compensation, tax, and social security inquiries.
• Ensure data quality in personnel and payroll records while maintaining compliance with all legal regulations.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Recruiting departments to actively contribute to the development of our payroll framework.
