Payroll Specialist

Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist is tasked with providing accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services for a portfolio of regional and international clients. This role covers the entire payroll lifecycle, including implementation, processing, statutory compliance, client support, and ongoing improvement, ensuring secure and precise payroll delivery within deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up payroll configurations such as pay elements, schedules, and client-specific parameters for new payroll implementations.
• Collect and verify necessary payroll documentation for compliant setup.
• Train clients on payroll procedures and data submission requirements.
• Conduct payroll testing and parallel processing before go-live dates.
• Oversee the monthly payroll cycle end-to-end for assigned clients.
• Review and reconcile payroll inputs, employee records, salary calculations, taxes, and social security contributions.
• Prepare detailed payroll reports, reconciliations, and comply with statutory documentation requirements.
• Ensure payrolls are completed accurately, meet compliance needs, and are submitted on schedule.
• File statutory declarations, registrations, and reports according to local laws.
• Stay updated on legislative changes to ensure payroll compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all payroll-related records.
• Act as the main contact for payroll queries from clients, delivering professional communication and timely issue resolution.
• Assist clients with payroll adjustments, customizations, and operational needs.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues, escalating when necessary with clear information.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Adhere to company procedures and quality standards while continuously enhancing payroll expertise through training.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in payroll or accounting roles.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Practical experience in payroll processing, financial reconciliations, or statutory reporting support.
• Strong numerical analysis skills and understanding of control mechanisms and data accuracy.
• Experience with ERP, payroll, or finance systems.
• Experience supporting multiple countries or legal entities is considered an asset.

Compensation

Monthly salary up to AED 7000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
