About The Role

Join our dedicated payroll team at Water Corporation as a Payroll Services Officer, where you will provide a proactive, customer-centric payroll service to our employees. Situated in Leederville, this position demands exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and the discretion to handle sensitive and confidential payroll information professionally. Reporting directly to the Team Lead - Payroll Services, this role operates onsite from our Leederville office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Process payroll and HR records accurately and promptly, covering base pay, allowances, deductions, superannuation, tax, new hires, terminations, and other employee changes.
  • Ensure personal employee records are maintained in compliance with regulatory standards, including creating and managing personnel files.
  • Serve as the primary contact for generating HR and payroll reports.
  • Deliver accurate and timely guidance to employees and managers regarding Water Corporation employment conditions.
  • Address and resolve complex queries related to employment entitlements and payments.
  • Guide employees and managers on utilizing HR Self Service systems effectively.
  • Proactively communicate with customers and HR consultants to enhance service delivery.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience interpreting employment conditions and relevant award agreements.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, especially SAP and HR SuccessFactors, is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and thrive in a dynamic corporate setting.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience supporting administrative personnel.
  • Previous payroll experience in medium to large organisations.
