Our client in Leeds City Centre is seeking a motivated Payroll Assistant to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately processing weekly payroll within deadlines.
- Updating and maintaining employee payroll records diligently.
- Responding to payroll inquiries and resolving any discrepancies swiftly.
- Managing weekly employee timesheets which may vary frequently.
- Ensuring payroll practices comply with current legislation and regulations.
- Assisting with payroll reporting and audit preparations as needed.
- Collaborating closely with accounting and finance departments on payroll matters.
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
- Keeping up-to-date with ongoing changes in payroll legislation.
Candidate Profile
- Some experience in payroll assistant roles or related positions such as accounts payable or accounts assistant preferred.
- Thrives in a fast-paced work setting and eager to learn new skills.
- Highly motivated with a strong drive for accurate and detailed work.
- Organized with solid time management abilities.
- Responsible handling of confidential employee information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software.
Employment Offer
- Salary range from 28000 to 30000, dependent on experience.
- Hybrid working arrangement available following probation, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
- Educational support available for CIPP studies.
