Role Overview
As a Payroll Administrator, you will collaborate with colleagues to manage the complete payroll cycle, ensuring that payroll processing is timely and precise. Your responsibilities include updating payroll data for new hires, departures, salary adjustments, and variable factors, along with supporting payroll audits and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the full payroll cycle and maintain payroll systems to guarantee accuracy.
- Update payroll memos and process changes efficiently within the payroll system.
- Import and run employee working hours from time tracking systems into payroll.
- Coordinate closely with the People Team on payroll-related updates.
- Address employee queries related to payroll with professionalism.
- Complete necessary controls and risk verifications to validate payroll accuracy.
- Support compliance with payroll laws and raise any concerns proactively.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately one year of experience in payroll administration, ensuring accurate and prompt payroll processing.
- Proficient in working with payroll software and maintaining precise employee records.
- Understanding of payroll-related regulations including taxation, National Insurance, statutory payments, and pension schemes.
- Skilled in handling employee payroll inquiries in a professional, customer-focused way.
- Strong analytical and numerical aptitude to detect and resolve discrepancies.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Discreet in managing confidential employee information with integrity.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight payroll schedules.
- Excellent communication skills to build collaborative relationships with employees, HR personnel, and external vendors.
- Aspirations to broaden payroll expertise and advance within the payroll function and broader people operations.
