About the Role
The Payroll Administrator is essential for ensuring that employees across Insight Global are compensated accurately and punctually. This role involves coordinating payroll activities across teams, ensuring compliance with India-specific labor and tax regulations, and managing payroll transactions. An emphasis on accuracy, problem-solving, and scalability of payroll workflows is vital to support a global workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review, reconcile, and process payroll for full-time employees and contractors in a timely manner.
- Calculate payroll details, generate reports, and maintain comprehensive payroll records.
- Handle statutory payments and filings, including Provident Fund, Professional Tax, TDS (monthly, quarterly, and annual), and year-end returns.
- Validate employee information such as PAN, Aadhaar, UAN, and bank details; collaborate with HR and Shared Services to rectify any discrepancies.
- Verify contractor GST details, ensure proper GST treatment, assist in invoice validation, and coordinate GST reconciliations with Finance.
- Process special payroll transactions including bonuses, premium payments, and other one-time remunerations.
- Develop and enhance efficient, scalable payroll processes suitable for a global workforce.
- Maintain detailed documentation of payroll entries, adjustments, and one-off payments.
- Work closely with HR teams to administer new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
- Diagnose and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies sensitively and effectively.
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll queries and related concerns.
- Assist with payroll system management and champion process improvement initiatives such as automation, workflow optimization, and internal controls to reduce risks.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional payroll experience.
- Excellent precision in managing detailed payroll tasks promptly.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, professionalism, and excellent teamwork capabilities.
- Solid customer service experience and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven capability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Experienced with multiple advanced platforms, especially Microsoft tools.
- Good knowledge of payroll software solutions and a strong understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations.
Working Conditions & Schedule
This position is based in Hitech City, Hyderabad, Telangana. The workweek runs Monday through Thursday onsite, while Fridays are remote. The daily working hours are from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST.
