Position Summary

The Patriot Maintenance Engineer role involves providing hands-on technical support by troubleshooting, repairing, and testing the Patriot missile system's electrical and electronic components. The engineer will prepare detailed maintenance documentation and implement authorized equipment modifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and isolate faults in the Patriot system using Intermediate Support Element tools when Built-In Test Equipment and other diagnostic tools are insufficient.
  • Conduct repairs on key system components including ICC, ECS, RS, CRG, BME, BMC, IFF, AMG, GMT, and LRPT units.
  • Verify operational performance of major end items to ensure compliance with specified standards.
  • Install approved third-echelon equipment modifications (MWO) as required.
  • Perform testing, system integration, and check-out procedures on modified equipment and provide onsite technical support when necessary.
  • Engage in on-the-job training programs and assist leadership in maintaining safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify improper maintenance methods and demonstrate correct troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Prepare and submit thorough maintenance reports and System Problem Reports (SPR).
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Be available for domestic travel to provide on-site support, including outside normal working hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in field maintenance involving isolation and correction of malfunctions using automatic and semi-automatic diagnostics, unit self-tests, and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE).
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional testing of systems including ICC, ECS, RS, CRG, IFF, AMG, GMT, LRPT, and LS.
  • Fluency in English for effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting electrical and electronic schematics.
  • Understanding of Radar Frequency (RF) concepts.
  • Possession of an Associate Degree in Electronics obtained prior to the Bachelor’s degree.
