Job Overview

This role focuses on expanding Raytheon's business within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), nurturing pipelines, engaging external clients, and representing customer interests across Raytheon stakeholders. Reporting to the Raytheon Director of Requirements & Capabilities as part of the country team based in Riyadh, this position ensures compliance with internal policies and oversees the management of customer communications, proposal reviews, leadership visits, trade shows, and internal evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product lines, functional leaders, and R&C teams to analyze customer insights and market trends to shape enterprise strategies for the Royal Saudi Armed Forces.
  • Regularly brief Raytheon stakeholders on customer assessments, market intelligence, opportunity status, and key milestones.
  • Comprehend and communicate the KSA customer’s budgeting and requirements processes thoroughly.
  • Contribute to country strategy development and relay strategic objectives to business units.
  • Link strategy with operational analysis to demonstrate how customers deploy capabilities against current and future threats.
  • Use customer understanding to align Raytheon priorities with client operational concepts.
  • Identify and develop new business initiatives addressing customer priorities and capability gaps.
  • Create internal networks for access to product and service expertise.
  • Maintain customer engagement plans fostering a unified approach to account management.
  • Lead RTN Saudi Arabia R&C staff meetings and opportunity reviews.
  • Manage logistics and oversight of external business development consultants.
  • Coordinate Enterprise Raytheon Pipeline Manager (ERPM) opportunities with capture leads and R&C operations.
  • Track customer interactions and facilitate internal visits for KSA.
  • Prepare visitor guides including agendas and background materials for senior leadership visits.
  • Implement initiatives targeting continuous improvement within the function.
  • Monitor Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) milestones and enforce best practices for KSA opportunities.
  • Support the formulation of RTX strategies for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Utilize R&C metrics to drive continuous process enhancement.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Affairs, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience navigating business with MODEA and associated services.
  • Capability to operate efficiently in a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English at all management levels.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills facilitating internal and external business success.
  • Approximately 12 years of progressively responsible roles in Business Development or Defense Sales.
  • Established record in building relationships within Saudi Arabia.
  • Ability to leverage client insights to identify growth opportunities in KSA.
  • In-depth understanding of KSA's defense market competitors and customers.
  • Experience monitoring financial metrics and strategic business planning.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management tools, such as Microsoft ERPM.
  • Proven leadership experience in directing teams toward achieving objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in military or defense sectors.
  • Direct exposure to MODEA, Royal military entities, and GAMI operations.
  • Knowledge of RTX’s product portfolio and services.
  • Experience with KSA Ministry of Defense programs, including captures and product lines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior decision-makers.
  • Understanding of financial planning and analysis processes at RTX or analogous organizations.
  • Familiarity with regional cultural, political, and military practices impacting business.
  • Insight into procurement, regulatory, and fiscal environments across KSA.
