Role Overview
We seek an enthusiastic and committed pastry professional with a blend of technical expertise and creative flair. The successful candidate will be reliable, passionate about pastry making, and uphold high standards through strong work ethics.
In this position, you will be responsible for diverse pastry operations spanning Conferences & Events, Banquets, À La Carte services, Coffee Breaks, Afternoon Tea, various F&B outlets, and special occasions. Your role is vital in crafting exceptional and visually appealing pastry products that create memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and finish a wide variety of high-quality pastry products for multiple service outlets and events.
- Maintain rigorous standards relating to food safety, hygiene, and allergen controls.
- Effectively prioritize and organize pastry production in line with business requirements and deadlines.
- Innovate creatively while ensuring consistency, meticulous presentation, and premium quality.
- Operate efficiently within a fast-paced environment and sustain high standards under pressure.
- Collaborate with team members positively and contribute to a high-performance and motivated pastry team.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess full legal working rights in Australia.
- Hold a relevant Trade Qualification in Pâtisserie or Pastry Arts.
- Demonstrate previous experience in a demanding hotel, restaurant, or high-volume pastry production setting.
- Exceptional practical skills in producing and finishing a broad scope of pastry offerings.
- Strong eye for detail with a focus on quality, consistency, and refined presentation.
- Ability to work independently and supportively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production timelines effectively.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and according to business needs.
