Key Responsibilities

• Conduct foot or vehicle patrols on private properties.
• Verify vehicle permits, registrations, and adherence to posted parking regulations.
• Maintain clear fire lanes and accessible parking spots.
• Issue Notices of Parking Violation when necessary.
• Capture photographic evidence and document any parking infractions.
• Provide assistance to residents, visitors, property managers, and the general public.
• Report any safety concerns or unusual activities noted during patrols.
• Use mobile technology to log patrol activities.
• Communicate effectively with ParkNET Dispatch and internal operations teams.

Who We Are Looking For

• Dependable individuals with strong responsibility and judgment.
• Comfortable working autonomously and able to stay observant and detail-oriented.
• Confident decision-makers who interact with the public respectfully and calmly during conflicts.
• Proficient with smartphones and mobile technological tools.
• Physically capable of walking and patrolling for extended periods under varying weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold.
• Eager to learn, adaptable, and open-minded.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license is preferred for mobile patrol assignments.
• Previous experience in parking enforcement, municipal enforcement, security, customer service, hospitality, property management, or other public-facing roles is advantageous but not required; character and demeanor are more important.

Job Realities and Expectations

This is an outdoor, field-oriented position that involves quiet periods, extreme weather, long walks, and sometimes challenging conversations. The role involves occasionally issuing parking violations and educating the public on parking rules, but also ensuring crucial areas like fire routes and accessible parking are maintained for community safety.
