Job Role Overview

The PAM/IAM Engineer position is a full-time, onsite role located in Doha, Qatar. The engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, and upkeep of Privileged Access Management and Identity and Access Management systems, aiming to safeguard critical organizational systems and sensitive data. Regular duties include configuration and management of access policies, integration of IAM and PAM platforms with various enterprise applications, monitoring access activities, and reacting promptly to security incidents involving privileged accounts.

The role requires cooperation with security, networking, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements, perform risk evaluations, and assure adherence to internal security standards. Additional responsibilities encompass documenting implemented solutions, offering technical support, and supporting system upgrades and audits for continuous enhancement of identity security.

Qualifications and Skills

• Robust understanding of PAM/IAM principles and tools, including role-based access control, single sign-on, multifactor authentication, and privileged account vaulting.
• Practical experience with configuring and managing IAM/PAM platforms such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Thycotic, SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD, or equivalent systems.
• Deep knowledge of information security fundamentals like least privilege concepts, network security protocols, and compliance frameworks related to identity management.
• Skilled in integrating IAM/PAM solutions with directory services, operating systems, databases, and enterprise applications through APIs, connectors, and automation scripts.
• Competent in troubleshooting access-related challenges, analyzing security logs, and composing detailed reports on identity-based risks, incidents, and audit outcomes.
• A bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields is required.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific IAM/PAM credentials are desirable and considered advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills along with the capacity to collaborate effectively within diverse teams, strong documentation aptitudes, and analytical skills.
• Experience within the telecommunications sector is preferred.
