About The Role
The Shepherd Mayfair, located in the prestigious Mayfair district of London, is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our dedicated team. This full-time, permanent position offers an annual salary of £32,000 plus service charge. Positioned close to landmarks such as Park Lane, Hyde Park, and Piccadilly, the hotel combines contemporary luxury with the charm of a historic neighbourhood, featuring 82 rooms and three dining outlets.
Responsibilities
As a Painter and Decorator, you will perform general decorating tasks essential for maintaining the hotel's high standards and ensuring an excellent guest experience. Your duties include completing daily small decorating assignments and managing larger redecoration projects with meticulous attention to detail.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in maintenance roles within hotels, or prior work as a painter/decorator, or ownership of a decorating business.
- Practical knowledge of basic maintenance, health and safety, and fire safety regulations.
- A hands-on, self-driven, and proactive approach to work.
- Experience-based qualifications are acceptable; formal painting/decorating certificates are beneficial.
