Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by eliminating grease, dirt, paint, or rust utilizing abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters to ensure readiness for paint application.
- Support the painting team by assisting with pre-paint blending tasks and helping maintain the scheduled timeline for vehicle delivery.
- Fill minor dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces for optimal paint adhesion.
- Buff and wax finished paint jobs to enhance appearance and quality.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment employing solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for maintenance and cleaning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience with vehicle paint preparation processes is required.
- Holding I-CAR certifications is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
Compensation and Benefits
This role operates on a commission/flag rate pay system, with flag pay guaranteed not to fall below the local minimum wage for all worked hours weekly. The average annual pay range for this full-time position is between $40,840 and $100,000. Compensation depends on factors like job knowledge, skills, experience, and certifications.
Benefits are subject to eligibility and current company policies and include medical, dental, vision insurance, group life, and disability coverage. Additional perks comprise a 401k plan with company match, referral bonuses, and five paid holidays annually.
