Job Responsibilities

• Eliminate contaminants such as grease, dirt, old paint, and rust from vehicle surfaces using tools like abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters to prep them for painting.
• Support painters with pre-paint blending to achieve seamless finishes.
• Collaborate with the paint team to ensure vehicles are completed within scheduled timelines.
• Apply body fillers to minor dents or scratches and smooth surfaces to ready vehicles for paint application.
• Polish and wax the completed paintwork to restore shine.
• Take apart, clean, and reassemble spray equipment and power tools using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths to maintain proper function and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with vehicle paint preparation processes is required.
• Holding I-CAR certifications is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with a team.
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

The role offers a commission and flag pay structure designed to guarantee at least minimum local wage for all hours worked, with the actual compensation depending on individual skills, certifications, and experience. The typical annual pay ranges between $40,000 and $91,600. Crash Champions reserves the right to update benefits and compensation information as necessary.
