About the Role
This opportunity is suited for individuals passionate about helping customers succeed and making a positive difference. You will be responsible for receiving pick lists that detail the products needed to fulfill orders, prioritizing and gathering items efficiently throughout the store, and preparing orders carefully for dispatch. This involves accurate packing and labeling to protect products during transport, as well as placing completed orders into designated holding zones until they are loaded onto delivery trucks. Furthermore, you will be part of the Service Desk team, handling basic customer order transactions including sales, returns, and correspondence via phone, while understanding order notes in system records.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service by greeting, engaging, and thanking customers per company standards.
- Efficiently collecting merchandise to complete orders on time, utilizing the Order Fulfillment Application.
- Loading goods onto delivery vehicles and assisting with customer curbside pickups, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Organizing space for delivery orders until shipment and ensuring careful packing and accurate labeling to prevent damage.
- Complying with all organizational Safety and Loss Prevention protocols.
- Transporting freight safely from staging areas to overhead storage or vice versa using proper equipment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work schedule includes overnight shifts, with possible evenings and weekends.
- Warehouse setting with exposure to dust, noise, and intermittent drafts due to open doors.
- Potential exposure to gas fumes from passing forklifts.
- Physical activities involve walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and transporting items.
- Occasional need to lift heavy or bulky items independently and climb ladders up to 12-16 feet for stocking or retrieving merchandise.
Qualifications and Additional Information
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience: 1 to 2 years in retail or distribution is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating reach trucks and order picker machines is considered beneficial.
