Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and properly zoned meat department that is always ready for customers. Regularly rotate stock and remove any expired or unsellable products to ensure quality.
• Ensure all meat items are accurately priced and labeled, adhering to procedures for ordering, markdowns, markups, clearance, signage, and flagging.
• Follow strict food safety and cold chain protocols, including regular temperature checks, calibrating thermometers, proper food handling, stock rotation, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken by safely using equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers to fulfill customer orders and fill display cases.
• Maintain health and safety standards by complying with company policies and guidelines to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic workplace.
• Exhibit flexibility by working a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support smooth store operations and consistent customer service.

Challenges

• Manage overnight work hours efficiently, staying energized and focused to handle a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle substantial volume of restocking and recovery tasks accurately and timely.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting supplies up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Engage in repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing products while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.

Compensation
