Position Overview
As an Overnight Lead Department Manager at Walmart Canada, you will gain valuable leadership experience within a fast-paced retail setting. This role involves guiding and supporting the overnight team to ensure shelves are well-stocked, displays are attractive, and the store environment is customer-ready each morning. Emphasizing teamwork, organization, and attention to detail, this position suits those who enjoy leading and positively impacting store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and direction for overnight stocking tasks following priorities given by the Overnight Assistant Manager and daytime managers.
- Evaluate merchandise presentation and store condition, identify shortcomings, and implement necessary merchandising or display adjustments to uphold store standards.
- Manage defective or damaged goods properly by ensuring they are identified and sent to the claims room per procedures.
- Assume responsibility for store safety and security during the absence of the Overnight Assistant Manager, including handling any accidents or incidents per company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned store areas to verify security and compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in training and developing overnight associate staff to enhance productivity, performance, and meet stocking and operational objectives.
- Maintain flexibility by being available for various shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
- Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-moving environment by planning and organizing workload to stay energized and focused during overnight hours.
- Perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs, while consistently performing repetitive stocking and organizing duties with attention to detail.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.85.
