Job description

Overview

The Order Book Support Operator plays a pivotal role in managing daily operations related to Spares and Repair order processing. This position ensures that all inventory needs, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and critical spares, are fulfilled promptly within set timeframes and budgets. The role also supports inventory forecasting and optimization to maintain adequate repairable and consumable asset levels for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Spares & Repairs coordinators by ensuring timely order placements and efficient management of order book activities and transactions.
  • Collaborate with the PPC supervisor to oversee all AOG spares operations, exploring every available option to resolve demands swiftly while ensuring compliance.
  • Foster collaboration with the Integrated Technical Logistics Operations Cell (ITLOC) to meet operational requirements.
  • Support PPC supervisor during DSUMs and AOG meetings with UK counterparts, maintaining accurate and current PPC spreadsheets and working closely with ITLOC.
  • Contribute to inventory management through planning, stock positioning, monitoring item conditions, and balancing service level with budget constraints.
  • Under supervision, seek to reduce expenditures by exploring alternative supply sources, evaluating the best asset solutions (repair, overhaul, or replacement), and coordinating repair scheduling.
  • Ensure business KPIs are met by delivering expected service levels to internal and external customers, specifically the QEAF Typhoon Fleet.
  • Mentor QEAF staff joining from the Qatar Technical Institute to support their integration into the MOB Organisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Understand and manage the regulatory framework related to DF&P processes and activities.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, Part 145 organizations, order book management, OEMs, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Grasp platform contract terms concerning both direct and indirect aspects linked to major KPIs.
  • Develop operational and commercial insights regarding fleet performance and key business metrics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and enhance management reporting systems.
  • Provide forecasting and planning support to DF&P teams.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify recurring issues and collaborate on corrective actions when necessary.
  • Demonstrate competence in operational supply chain activities by defining processes, proposing improvements, and managing their implementation in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Preferable enhanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Possession of Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3, NVQ3, or equivalent qualifications is desirable though not mandatory.
  • Valid driving license required.
