About the Role
Join the Ophthalmology and Surgery department at Al Salama Hospital in Jeddah, contributing to high-quality eye care by supporting ophthalmologists through patient screening and diagnostic evaluations. This position focuses on ensuring precise and patient-focused diagnosis in accordance with hospital procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screenings by assessing visual acuity, measuring intraocular pressure, and administering eye dilation drops.
- Carry out diagnostic tests such as A/B scan, fundus photography, OCT, visual field examination, fluorescein angiography (FFA), and Pentacam imaging.
- Input and manage patient and diagnostic information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Maintain compliance with patient confidentiality and proper documentation protocols.
Qualifications
- Possess a degree in Nursing or Applied Science accompanied by specific ophthalmic technician training; specialization in ophthalmology is advantageous.
- Have at least one year of pertinent experience as a certified Ophthalmic Technician by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
