Opportunity Overview
Join Hitachi Energy Transformers as a vital member of our Insulation & Components team, contributing to the production of premium Insulation Paper products. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by efficiently operating Rewinder equipment following strict safety and quality protocols, while driving continuous improvement and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor Rewinder machinery adhering strictly to safety standards, including routine safety checks and detailed inspections before operations begin.
- Oversee production for any defects, uphold quality benchmarks, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of quality and safety, comply with Standard Operating Procedures, and promptly report any unsafe conditions or faults.
- Perform visual inspections to detect defects, remove flawed materials, and conduct regular cleaning and basic upkeep of machinery to ensure functionality.
- Keep precise production logs ensuring alignment with company and ISO standards.
- Package finished rolls as per guidelines, ensure correct labeling, and quickly report any stock or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Comply fully with all relevant internal policies and external regulations.
- Embody Hitachi Energy’s core principles of safety and integrity by being accountable for your actions and supporting colleagues and the business.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Flexibility to work in rotating shifts (A, B, and C shifts).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of safety protocols and quality assurance in machine operation contexts.
- Competence performing manual operations coupled with effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with measurement instruments like Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Measuring Tapes to verify product specifications.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
