Job Overview
This role entails setting up and running a range of finishing machinery including Kolbus perfect binders, Muller Martini saddle stitchers, folding apparatus, sewing equipment, and Wholemberg gathering and cutting machines. The operator is responsible for configuring automatic die cutting, foiling, embossing, Brausee folder gluers, and Champion bag fabrication machines according to job specifications and material characteristics.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate finishing equipment to ensure job specifications are met.
- Continuously monitor production output for binding strength, correct stitching, precise folding, and accurate cutting.
- Carry out visual and manual inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine cleaning and adhere strictly to the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Detect mechanical malfunctions or material misfeeds and promptly report them to supervisors or the maintenance crew.
