About the Role
We are looking for a capable Operations Specialist to become part of our Operations team at Marsh, based in Christchurch, New Zealand. This position focuses on providing comprehensive administrative and technical assistance to Client Facing Brokers throughout the insurance broking process. The role demands precision and efficiency in handling policy production and related documentation while meeting established standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage service delivery for New Zealand local businesses to meet growth and service benchmarks.
- Offer client service support to key internal stakeholders within the organization.
- Produce precise and timely administration and technical support including insurance placement records, invoicing, and premium funding documents.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal brokers.
- Engage with Underwriters on behalf of brokers to gain broader insurance industry insights.
- Support and partner with colleagues at all organizational levels to optimize outcomes for clients and Marsh.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong numeracy skills for handling insurance-related data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills conducive to teamwork.
- Comfortable using technology and familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Insurance industry knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience and Background
- Possession of a university degree, diploma, or relevant equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of prior experience within insurance or financial services preferred, especially recent graduates or administrative professionals.

Additional Information
Candidates must have legal authorization to work in New Zealand. A criminal and bankruptcy check will be required before employment commences. Marsh is devoted to creating a diverse and flexible working environment and expects employees to be onsite or client-facing at least three days per week, with hybrid arrangements supported based on team schedules.
