Role Overview

This full-time position, based in Central Uganda, offers a hybrid working model blending onsite presence with home-based work flexibility. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operational functions including coordinating food market logistics, managing relationships with vendors and clients, and ensuring efficient, timely delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise operational staff while supporting their activities.
• Coordinate logistics and vendor/client interactions to streamline service delivery.
• Monitor performance indicators, optimize operational workflows, and enforce company policies consistent with YooKatale’s customer-focused ethos.
• Facilitate cross-department communication and swiftly resolve operational challenges.
• Participate in strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and compliance management with relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in operations management, process improvement, and performance tracking.
• Experience with logistics, supply chain, or service delivery particularly in food, retail, or similar industries.
• Proficiency with digital tools for coordination, communication, and reporting in hybrid work environments.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in team supervision, coaching, and stakeholder relations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work effectively with varied teams and customers.
• Balance customer priorities with employee support and stakeholder engagement.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or related disciplines; comparable experience may be considered.
• Experience in emerging markets or community-focused organizations is advantageous.
