Operations Manager

About the Role

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar seeks an Operations Manager responsible for comprehensive campus operational oversight. This role involves providing strategic guidance on health and safety, facilities management, contract and legal compliance, campus planning, and the supervision of support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives in health and safety, facilities, and campus planning.
• Manage daily operational delivery of capital projects including budget oversight, governance, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate campus renovations, alterations, and major procurement with landlords, contractors, and designers.
• Administer all third-party service contracts spanning security, cleaning, maintenance, transportation, and catering.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar's regulatory requirements, Nord Anglia Education standards, and legal obligations.
• Direct budget management, procurement processes, and organize logistics for non-academic events.
• Supervise Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities staff, bus assistants, and medical team members.
• Collaborate with the Extended Leadership Team on planning space utilization, room changes, and building upkeep.
• Advise the Principal on resources and lead cost reduction efforts through effective vendor negotiations.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a university degree.
• Demonstrated experience in operations management or a related role.
• Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills.
• Upholds high ethical standards and personal integrity.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to perform calmly under pressure.
• Proactive individual able to encourage others and ensure deadlines are met, adaptable to change.
• Experience within Qatar or the Middle East region is preferred.
