Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) / Facilities Manager based in Doha, Qatar, to lead and manage the complete lifecycle of assets, infrastructure, and facility operations. The role involves supervising a multidisciplinary technical team to ensure peak infrastructure performance, strict safety adherence, and effective cost management. This position blends engineering skills, contractor coordination, and financial strategy.
Key Duties
- Oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of hard services including HVAC, MEP, firefighting systems, civil works, and central utilities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage an internal technical team, shift supervisors, and external soft service providers like cleaning, security, and waste management vendors.
- Create and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while managing and auditing contractors.
- Prepare, monitor, and optimise both operational and capital expenditure budgets.
- Analyze utility usage to drive energy-saving strategies and reduce carbon footprint across facility sites.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards aligned with Civil Defence and national Qatari regulations.
- Utilize and manage Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS / CAFM) to maintain accurate asset data and inventory control.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
- Possess an active UPDA / MMUP Grade A or B Engineer license valid in Qatar.
- At least 8 to 10 years in facilities management or building operations with minimum 3 years in a managerial capacity within Qatar or the GCC region.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) are highly desirable.
- Proficient in English at a professional level; bilingual Arabic skills are a significant plus.
- Must hold a valid NOC (No Objection Certificate).
