Operations Director

Overview

Take charge of the operational and financial management at Business Central NZ, a leading business network in Central New Zealand. This role offers a central leadership position during a phase of notable growth and transformation, where you'll oversee key business functions including finance, governance, operations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy encompassing management, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, debtor oversight, and financial reporting.
• Manage operational systems, vendor relationships, compliance protocols, health and safety standards, and daily office functions.
• Supervise a specialized team, ensuring alignment with the company’s transformation and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO to drive financial and operational performance.
• Champion continuous improvement and business enhancement initiatives through effective leadership and stakeholder influence.

Candidate Profile

• Seasoned leader in finance, operations, or commercial roles with robust strategic and practical skills.
• Proficient in cashflow control, budgeting, forecasting, and generating comprehensive financial reports.
• Experienced in managing risk, ensuring compliance, and maintaining vendor partnerships.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a focus on pragmatic, solution-driven approaches.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, or
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field combined with extensive commercial finance experience.
