Job description
Role Overview
The Operations Consultant partners closely with the Operations Supervisor to ensure the stockroom remains orderly and merchandise is updated appropriately in the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, professional, and informed service to customers during store operating hours.
- Support training of cashiers and consultants on point-of-sale systems (POS and mobile POS).
- Help maintain cleanliness and organized conditions in the cashier area.
- Assist in upholding Sephora's visual merchandising standards.
- Engage in loss prevention programs to minimize shrinkage.
- Efficiently manage incoming shipments processing and stockroom organization per company policies.
- Handle merchandise transfers, damaged goods, and tester items following standards.
- Inspect visual displays, reporting any missing or damaged elements to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain safety and tidiness standards continuously within the work areas.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or concerns to store management team members.
- Ensure adherence to sampling protocols.
- Participate actively in inventory control activities.
- Consultants designated may receive cross-training in cashier responsibilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 1 to 2 years experience in retail or client-facing roles, preferably involving stockroom duties.
- Good proficiency with computers, numeracy, and organizational skills.
- Capability to multitask effectively while remaining attentive to customer and operational needs.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Additional Information
- Work environment includes exposure to fragrances.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and bending/stretching to replenish shelves.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage ranges from CAD 19.20 to 22.60, with potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses, a comprehensive benefits program, and extensive learning and development opportunities focused on employee support and recognition. Final salary is determined by qualifications, experience, and other legitimate factors.
